Maruti Suzuki began the Nexa trend with the launch of S-cross in India. Sporting style and grace, S-Cross spiked the sales rate for Maruti Suzuki. The car is designed in a way that it can hit all kinds of Indian roads. It is an all rounder budget car that will be ideal for a family. The facelifted model of S-Cross retained the designs carried by a car earlier. Maruti Suzuki is planning to take the all-new S-Cross 2020 at the Auto Expo 2020. The much-awaited car will be launched with a petrol engine and the car enthusiasts are eager to test the performance of the car. S-Cross will be made BS6 compliant with some minor updates. It will be made available in 5 variants.

Price

Currently, Maruti S-Cross's price ranges from Rs. 8.86 lakhs to Rs 11.49 lakhs. This is expected to increase, and the S-Cross on road price will range from Rs 9 lakhs to Rs 12 lakhs.

Features and specifications 

Exterior

The exterior of the car is given an aggressive yet sophisticated look with sleek black cladding lower skirts and the skid plates on the lower lip. The front grill with verticle slats, polished in chrome gives it a bold touch. In the front, it will get projector headlamps and LED daytime running lights. LED tail lights are given in the rear. All the variants will carry 16-inch alloy wheels. Color variants including Nexa Blue, Premium Silver, Granite Grey, Pearl Arctic White, and Caffeine Brown will be offered.

Interior

When it comes to the interior, the vehicle is given a premium look just like any other Nexa vehicle. The high-end variant will come with a leather upholstery while the lower ones will feature good quality fabric. With a touch screen from the Nexa, the front dashboard is given an attractive look. The infotainment system integrated will support Apple’s CarPlay, Google’s Android Auto and MirrorLink. Apart from this, the top variants are also expected to feature Automatic climate control.

Engine & mileage

The 2020 S-Cross will be powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine. It will give a great performance on the road with 100bhp and 133Nm of peak torque. This engine might be paired with a six-speed manual transmission and it may also offer a CVT.

A mileage of 26 km/l is expected to be provided by the new engine. This may vary based on the vehicles’ weight and real-life performance.

Safety

The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross will feature premium safety options across all the variants. It carries ventilated disc brakes for the front wheel and solid discs for the rear. ABS feature comes as a standard option for all models. Apart from this, the car will have a child safety lock, crash sensor and seat belt warning as standard in all variants. The anti-theft alarm will be offered only in high-end variants.

All Maruti Suzuki dealers running the Nexa showroom will market the car after its launch. Leading Indian Maruti dealer based in Coimbatore, Ambal Auto will also offer the car in India. The dealer avails various services like online test drive booking for its customers.
